Dr. Jennifer Koehl joined our practice in 2014 after relocating to the State College area. She is a Jersey Shore native who attended the University of Scranton where she received her BS in Biology. She then earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia in 2008. After six years of mixed general and emergency practice in the Philadelphia area, Dr. Koehl moved with her husband, Frank, and daughter, Violet, in search of a quiet and cultured lifestyle in State College.
Dr. Koehl enjoys both cats and dogs, but has a particular penchant for dealing with unruly feline patients. Her sense of humor and gentle bedside manner help concerned clients make the best decisions for their pets. She is well versed in feline behavior, pain management, and preventative care.
Dr. Koehl writes about veterinary medicine and has been published in Veterinary Economics Magazine as well as being published numerous times online. She enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and exploring new foods.
